Healthy Peanut/Almond Butter Eggs–{vegan and refined sugar free}

THE PERFECT HEALTHY EASTER TREAT WITHOUT ANY REFINED SUGAR AND GLUTEN FREE…THESE CUTE LITTLE EGGS ARE MADE WITH HEMP SEEDS, GROUND OATS, HONEY AND A MIXTURE OF NUT BUTTERS. COVERED IN DARK CHOCOLATE:)

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups ground oats
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds
  • ¼ cup raw honey** [or snot candy]
  • 12 oz nut butter  [can use almond or peanut or mixture]
  • 4 oz raw tahini
  • Bag of raw dark chocolate chips [the good quality variety…either ghiradelli or other tempered chocolate chips]
  •  
  • **SNOT CANDY
  • 16 oz raw honey
  • 2 tsp tumeric powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Blend nut butter, tahini and honey in bowl.
  2. Add ground oats, hemp seeds and up to half of bag of chocolate chips. Mix well.
  3. Form into 1 in balls, place on parchment covered sheet and refrigerate for 20 min.
  4. Meanwhile, melt the rest of the chocolate chips. Dip each ball in chocolate and place back on parchment. Put in refrigerator or freezer. Store in glass mason jar or air tight container. Enjoy!

 

Notes

blend oats in a blender and THEN measure.

Don’t limit yourself to the ball form! These may be made into a chocolate egg on behalf of Easter, or a chocolate pop on a stick for a party, bodies of spiders for a halloween treat even! I mean–options are endless.
